Kuala Lumpur, 29 July 2024 – Ni Hsin EV Tech Sdn. Bhd. (“NH EV TECH”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Main Market-listed Ni Hsin Group Berhad (“Ni Hsin” or the “Group”; Bursa: NIHSIN, 7215), had on 29 July 2024 delivered ten (10) units of customised EBIXON BOLD motorcycles (“EBIXON motorcycles”) to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (“TNB”). The contract to supply the EV motorcycles to TNB was secured through its business partner, VSD Automation Sdn. Bhd. (“VSD”). The handover ceremony was conducted at TNB fleet management department in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

The EBIXON motorcycles supplied to TNB are customised according to TNB’s specifications and fitted with a rear storage box, siren and blue beacon light and meant for its auxiliary police patrol and surveillance functions at its premises.

VSD provides end-to-end solution and services in monitoring, metering and protection of transmission and distribution infrastructure with leading technologies and strategic global partnership. Among the major customers of VSD are Tenaga Nasional Berhad, AEG, PRASARANA, PETRONAS and Air Selangor. VSD is an established player in the energy sector with following credentials:

  1. Certified Bumiputra Company with the Ministry of Finance (MoF) Malaysia;
  2. Certified ESCO company specializing in solar photovoltaic (solar PV) and energy efficient systems and solutions; and
  3. Registered PV Investor (RPVI) and Registered PV Service Provider (RPVSP).

NH EV TECH and VSD are members of Malaysia Zero Emission Vehicle Association (“MyZEVA”), a non-governmental organisation (NGO) and the first association in Malaysia to bring together all like-minded stakeholders in a transportation ecosystem to advocate for a cleaner environment via the adoption of Battery Electric Vehicles (“BEV”). MyZEVA’s mission is to encourage the use of BEV to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to a sustainable transportation system.
